Manawatu/Whanganui region

Wairarapa region

The Wairarapa is home to the Mount Bruce/Pukaha Wildlife Centre, Aorangi, Rimutaka and Tararua forest parks, Lake Wairarapa wetlands, Castlepoint, Putangirua Pinnacles and several other scenic reserves.

Discover the Kapiti Island Nature Reserve and Kapiti Marine Reserve and explore Colonial Knob, Hemi Matenga, Papaitonga, Waikanae Estuary or Mana Island. Or hit a trail at Otaki Forks, the main western entrance to Tararua Forest Park.
